Below is an overview of the services offered by Fairfield Medical Centre. If you cannot find what you’re looking for then do not hesitate to contact the surgery.
The injected flu vaccine is offered free of charge on the NHS to people who are at risk. This is to ensure they are protected against catching flu and developing serious complications.

Our flu clinics are now available to book. They are available to:
- adults 65 and over
- adults aged 18 to 64 years who are at increased risk from flu because of a long-term health condition
- pregnant women
- children aged 2 and 3
- children aged 2 to 17 years who are at increased risk from flu
Children in reception class and school years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be offered a flu vaccine in their schools.
There are 3 different types of flu vaccine available this year - so please make sure that you book into the right clinic.
Clinics currently available:
For people aged 18 to 64 years who are eligible for a flu vaccine:
- Thursday 18 October: 12:30 - 13:00
- Monday 22 October: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
For people aged over 65 years:
- Wednesday 10 October: 12:30 - 13:00
- Saturday 13 October: 09:00 - 10:30
- Monday 29 October: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
- Thursday 01 November: 12.00 - 1.00
- Thursday 08 November: 12.30 - 1.00
- Monday 19 November: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
- Thursday 22 November: 12.30 - 1.00
- Tuesday 27 November: 12.30 - 1.00

General Medical Services
Our team of doctors provide general medical services. Several appointments types are available; please see the opening & appointment page for further information.
Our nursing team provide a varied range of services including: wound care, chronic disease monitoring, immunisations including childhood and travel, lifestyle advice including diet and smoking cessation.
Should an intimate examination be required during a consultation it our practice policy to offer a chaperone. The chaperone may be another doctor, a nurse or a member of our reception team. You do have the right to refuse a chaperone and equally if you would like a chaperone and have not been offered one then please do not hesitate to ask.
Dr Stephenson provides minor surgery for suitable lumps & bumps. You must be seen by a doctor before being booked into this clinic.
Phlebotomy (blood tests)
Tanya Hulford provides phlebotomy services for the practice. You will need to be advised by a nurse or doctor before booking any blood tests.You may agree with your doctor in advance to receive a text message if all your results are normal.
The community midwife team run a weekly antenatal clinic at the practice.
NHS Health Checks
We are currently offering NHS Health Checks for patients aged 40 - 75yrs who DO NOT already suffer with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease or diabetes. Further information can be found here.

Onsite physiotherapy is a private service independent of the practice run by Bookham Chartered Physiotherapy Service.
Health Visitor Services
The local Health Visitor team are in regular contact with the practice. They can be contacted directly on 01372 384327.
